iPhone Unlocking Service in Christchurch NZ

Due to high rank in google search results for queries about unlocked iPhone upgrades to v2 firmware and my recent article about my own experiences. A number of people in Christchurch have contacted me about unlocking their first-generation iPhones that have become locked after upgrading. This is not my trade, and is not something I would consider myself a professional in. However I am confident enough to do this without bricking (rendering it permanently useless) the phone.

While I'd prefer to help others to do it themselves, I understand this is too much to learn or too overwhelming for many people. If you would like me to unlock your iPhone, please contact me. These are my terms;

  • I will not assume liability for any permanent damage that may occur as a result of attempting to unlock your iPhone.
  • You must agree to not holding me liable for any permanent damage that may occur as a result of attempting to unlock your iPhone.
  • The fee is a flat fee of NZD 190.
  • I can not offer a receipt or guarantee. Although I have never failed to deliver.
  • You are responsible for delivery and pickup up, or otherwise suitable shipping.

Does it unlock iPhones for

Does it unlock iPhones for unapproved SIM cards? This is a necessary for first-generation iPhone users who don't use their iPhone on an Apple-authorized contract. Many applications unlock the iPhone for 3rd party applications, but this has little value -- the phone is quite usable and popular applications can be installed on locked iPhones via the iTunes App store.

However with a locked base-band and a non-authorized SIM card, iPhones are quite useless. As far as I know PwnageTool.app is the only one that unlocks iPhones for use with non-authorized SIM cards.

Iphone upgrade

Hi there,

I have a 16gb 2g iPhone, and it has been working well using a vodfone SIM.

However I had a hard drive crash and had to restore my iMac, which meant all the settings were lost, and inadvertantly when I installed itunes again it upgraded the itunes and the iPhone software to 2.1, and it stopped working.

I have used QuickPWN and upgraded, the iphone is functional in terms of the wifi is working, Cydia is installed. The iphone is now using software version 2.1, but my iphone no longer has any cellphone capability.

Happy to pay for you to help if you can ?

I don't wanna put you out of

I don't wanna put you out of business, but quickpwn took I think two clicks for me, followed by following the onscreen prompt to press the power and home button when it asked. It sat there for a couple of mins, then voila!

Also QuickPwn doesn't, by my

Also QuickPwn doesn't, by my testing, unlock the phone for use with non Apple-authorized SIM cards.

I'd love for people to do it

I'd love for people to do it themselves and encourage anyone thinking about contacting me to have a go first. Follow links on the write-up of my iPhone upgrade and have some patience!
